The ASEAN Sectoral Working Group on Crops (ASWGC) has oversight of the ASEAN Cooperation in crop sub-sector. The goal of the ASEAN cooperation in crop sub-sector is to promote the development of the sector in the ASEAN region by identifying areas of cooperation among ASEAN Member States (AMS) as well as dialogue and development partners, international organisations and other parties, including civil society organisations.
The ASEAN Crops Website is a platform for dissemination of successful sustainable technologies and management systems while minimizing pre- and post-harvest losses and waste throughout AMS and shall facilitate to enhance knowledge sharing and exchange across subsidiary bodies under the purview of the ASWGC.
The website has been established and hosted by Thailand Department of Agriculture (DOA) with the support of the
ASEAN Sustainable Agrifood Systems project (ASEAN SAS).
